Vincent Foucart joins Miller’s reinsurance practice as MD

Independent insurance and reinsurance broker Miller has announced the appointment of former SCOR executive Vincent Foucart as Managing Director in its Reinsurance practice.

In his new role, Foucart will primarily focus on Miller’s Western Europe markets, including France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland and Monaco, with responsibility for business growth and development across International Treaty, Specialty Lines and Strategic Advisory.

He will support the implementation of the firm’s reinsurance scale-up strategy under the leadership of Miller’s Head of Reinsurance & Capital, Shaun Sinniah, in his new role.

Foucart, who has 25 years of industry experience, is joining Miller from French reinsurer SCOR, where he served in a number of senior positions over the past 16 years, most recently as CEO of P&C Solutions.

Prior to SCOR, the executive spent two years at Tocqueville Finance as Managing Director, and six at AGF, where he held a number of roles. He started his career at Allianz back in 2000.

Commenting on the appointment, Shaun Sinniah, Head of Reinsurance and Capital at Miller, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Vincent to the team at this time of significant growth for Miller’s Reinsurance unit. As a seasoned builder of businesses, teams and relationships within this sector, Vincent shares our excitement for developing a market-leading, specialism-led reinsurance franchise.

“His deep market expertise and multi-decade leadership experience will prove invaluable as we continue to deliver on our long-term growth ambitions in this segment, underpinned by our commitment to excellence across claims, analytics and advisory services.”

Foucart, Managing Director, Reinsurance, at Miller, stated: “I’m delighted to be joining Miller at this point of their history where they look to bolster their market-leading specialty offerings with a growing international reinsurance proposition.

“In a market characterized by growing risk transfer challenges and where many segments have historically been underserved by the larger incumbents, there is an important opportunity for Miller to accommodate growing and evolving client needs. With its specialist capabilities, commitment to client service excellence and impressive corporate culture, Miller is for me the place to be to foster (re)insurance market development.”

Foucart’s appointment marks the latest move in Miller’s international reinsurance build-out, closely following the firm’s acquisition of specialist reinsurance broker AHJ, announced earlier this month, as well as the acquisitions of capital advisory business 4809 Brokers and Spanish broker Bruzon in 2024.
